Oracle parameter files
Startup routine in the Oracle server initialization parameter files when read. There are two types of initialization parameter files:
• Static Parameter File PFILE, generally known as initSID.ora.
• permanent Parameter File SPFILE, generally known as spfileSID.ora.
Initialization parameter file content:
• routine parameter list
• routines associated with the name of the database
• System Global Area (SGA) memory structure of the distribution of
• how to deal with full on-line redo log files
• Control file name and location of
• withdrawal of the above information in a variety of optimal performance under different circumstances, a routine can have multiple initialization parameter files.
PFILE (initSID.ora)
• text file
• Use the editor to modify the operating system
• manually modify
• the changes take effect the next time you start
• only in the routine to start the process of open
• the default location for $ ORACLE_HOME / dbs
Create PFILE
• Use the sample file init.ora to create cp init.ora $ ORACLE_HOME / dbs / initSID.ora
- Sample documents from the Oracle Universal Installer to install - the use of the operating system copy command to copy the sample - from a database unique identifier SID
• modify initSID.ora
- Edit parameters - the requirements for the database
SPFILE
spfileSID.ora
• binary file
• the maintenance by the Oracle server
• always resides on the server-side
• the changes permanent, free from the impact of the closure and start-up
• parameter values can be self-regulating
• enable the Recovery Manager to back up the initialization parameter files
SPFILE
Oracle9i new SPFILE is binary file. The document can not be manually modified, and must always reside on the server side. After the creation of the document, that is maintained by the Oracle server. If carried out manually modified, SPFILE will be null and void.
SPFILE with the database functions of permanent changes, shut down and start from the impact of the operation, it provides automatic adjustment recorded in the document, the function of the parameter values. Using SPFILE, RMAN can support the initialization parameter file backup SPFILE because the presence of the server side. By default, it is located at $ ORACLE_HOME / dbs directory,
Default name spfileSID.ora.
Create SPFILE
• Create documents from PFILE
CREATE SPFILE = '$ ORACLE_HOME/dbs/spfileDBA01.ora'
FROM PFILE = '$ ORACLE_HOME/dbs/initDBA01.ora';
One - SPFILE-NAME: To create the SPFILE
- PFILE-NAME: the SPFILE used to create PFILE
• may start before or after the routine implementation of
Beibei is also a good way to SPFILE.
